Immunizations

New California school immunization regulations go into effect on July 1, 2019. Most families will not be affected by the new law because their children have received all required vaccinations.

Changes include 
2 doses of chickenpox vaccine (Varicella) will be required for students who are:
 Entering into Transitional Kindergarten (TK)/Kindergarten
 Advancing into 7 th grade
 New admissions or transfers into a new school at grades TK through 12
2 doses of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) will be required for students who are:
 New admissions or transfers into a new school at grades TK through 12
 Advancing into 7 th grade and had a personal belief exemption in elementary school, which expires after 6 th grade (Note: in this case, the student must receive all the required vaccines, other than Hepatitis B)  3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine will be required for students who are:
 New admissions or transfers into a new school at grades TK through 12, with the exception of 7 th grade.


Documentation of required immunizations must be submitted to the school before the student is allowed to attend class.
