Hi!! I am an early child educator, and have worked in this field for the past 33 years! While Montessori is new to me, I am learning all of the important nomenclature and how the materials connect to a child's sensorial experience and the connection of memory and cognitive growth. I will continue to learn more about the concepts of self-reliance and how the child develops with empathy and the importance of space for learning in nature and with purposeful materials and manipulatives. When I am not in the classroom, I can be found hanging out with my high school sweet heart, my husband of 33 years, and our two beautiful, adult children! I came from a large family and so like to be surrounded by both littles and bigs! I love to read, nap, watch thriller movies, be with our cats, and go out to dinner.
